There's Snow Place Like North Idaho...

Wow. I thought I was getting away from the cold and snowy weather when I left Rexburg for Christmas break. Think again, Becca.

The ride back was scary up until Deer Lodge and a 7 hour drive ended up taking 9 and 1/2 hours.

Before the storm hit, our family went to Stephen's orchestra concert. He performed "Sleigh Ride" with my Grandma Wells as a segue and they both brought down the house. :)
Over the past two days, it has been snowing, and I mean SNOWING. Coeur d'Alene broke the all-time record for the most amount of snow received in a 24 hour period of time. It is still snowing. Ben and Stephen were happy to hear that school was canceled on Thursday. They were even more excited to find out that it was canceled Friday, too. Early Christmas break for them.
Before major snow (Didn't Dad do a great job on the lights?)

Everyone in town is snowed in and the sheriff told all city members to stay at home unless there is an emergency. Rats. I've been inside the house for a few days and there's no telling when I'll be able to go out again. The whole family is getting antsy with cabin fever.

Because there was nothing else to do besides play in the snow, I ventured outside early this afternoon. This is what I found:

Garage door that opens to the backyard

Backyard fence

Patio table before

Patio table after

Me, standing in my backyard

When is it going to stop?!

Kudos to Stephen for snapping a few of the photos. Thanks.

Another storm is headed our way for Sunday night. I guess we'll see what happens...
