Zoo/Air & Space Museum/Pictures For the Boys

Things have been busy with the internship, but I'm still getting some sight-seeing in.  I spent last Monday at the National Zoo and the Air & Space Museum.

Look:

I am not sure of the names of all these planes, Ben, so here are pictures for you. :)

(Me, being a total tourist)

These are not ordinary M&M's.  These M&M's went to space and back.

The Spirit of St. Louis!

Amelia Earhart's Red Vega!

(I know that the bottom one is a Mustang)

This was the only P-38 in the whole place. :)

If you look carefully, you can see me.

For Ben:  This is a flight simulator that takes off from the Dulles airport.

Friendship 7, the capsule John Glenn was in when he orbited the Earth.

Erika and me!

As far as the internship goes, I survived my first week.  Everything is so big that it's easy to feel small.  The building I am in has more than 4 million square feet of space . . .

Whoa.

I am excited for what the next 14 weeks will bring.

My question is, who would take a bag of M&Ms to outer space and not eat them?? What a waste.
