Some of you may have heard about the Northeast snowstorms last week. By Idaho standards, it wasn't that much.
However, Easterners aren't used to that kind of weather and it makes travel nearly impossible. Traffic is miserable on a normal, sunny day, so snow and ice multiply that misery by 72.
The storm put hundreds of thousands of homes in the dark. Our little apartment was one of those homes:

Even the snowmen by the metro station were a little put out:
Our power was out for two days, but my roommates and I survived by sealing off the back rooms, dragging our mattresses into the living room, and playing cards by candlelight.
Life could be worse. :)

Oh lights out is so SCARY and WONDERFUL! Total bonding time. Yes. That is neat.
